Hospice Africa Ireland are longtime supporters of Hospice Africa Uganda and have arranged many fundraising events with the help of a loyal and active volunteer base. Additionally we have secured partnership with the Irish Hospice Foundation, Irish Aid, KPMG, Tullow Oil and others to further the development of services and education resources. In particular, Irish funders played the leading role in funding the construction of the new education building which also houses clinical patient care rooms. In 2015 the Irish Hospice Foundation launched the Dr. Anne Merriman academic scholarship to sponsor a student to degree level in palliative care.
With the reduction in support from US Aid it is a very challenging time for Hospice Uganda and we are launching a fundraising programme with a target of €100,000 for 2016
Care Programme €25970
Community Outreach €17,810
Daycare €14,700
Patient Support €7,900
Community Volunteers €6,900
Unrestricted €44,420
Total Target €100,000
